Mavrek Development is shifting to small scale on their latest project, this time in Lincoln Park. Teaming up with GW Properties, the project is located at 935 W. Webster, across from Homeslice. At the southwest corner of W. Webster Ave and N. Bissell St, the property is currently occupied by a one-story building that used to house State Restaurant right next to the CTA L tracks.
The ground floor of the building will host new retail space with Sushi Taku already signed for 4,000 square feet of space facing W. Webster Ave. The corner retail space, which will be 3,500 square feet, is still available to prospective retailers. The suite has attracted lots of interest and the development team is in discussions with some high-profile users.
Above the ground floor are four decked out 4-bedroom apartments. Designed with a unique two-level configuration, the units will have 20-foot ceilings in the living rooms and feature over-the-top finishes.
With 360 Design Studio in charge of the architecture, the ground floor will be clad in white brick with a storefront window system. The residential units will be set back significantly and enclosed with dark brick.
Mavrek and GW Properties closed on the site in mid-January and work has commenced on the new construction. Retail suites will be ready for tenant buildouts in June and the apartments will be ready in August for occupancy.
