Habitat and joint venture partner Diversified Real Estate Capital have announced that pre-leasing is underway for Cassidy on Canal, a new 33-story, 343-unit mixed-use development at 350 N. Canal. Located on the west side of N. Canal St between W. Kinzie St and W. Fulton St, the property was formerly home to the Cassidy Tire building.

Designed by Solomon Cordwell Buenz, the 33-story tower reaches 375 feet tall with 343 residential units, approximately 1,300 square feet of ground floor retail space, 123 parking spaces, and a host of amenities for future residents. The building features a large 10,000-square-foot outdoor deck on the building’s fifth floor, with landscaped grounds, a pool, lounge seating, fire pits, grilling areas, cool weather heaters and dining areas. Inside, residents will be able to enjoy a fitness center with practice studios, game room, various club rooms, coworking center, and a spa with sauna, steam and whirlpool rooms. A dog run is also included on the northwest corner of the site.
With general contractor McHugh Construction wrapping up work on the building, the first wave of resident move-ins is expected in May.
