JPMorgan Chase has announced plans to open a new flagship branch at 830 N. Michigan on the Magnificent Mile. Taking up 11,000 square feet across two floors, the space is located across from Water Tower Place in a building bought by Farpoint Development and Saxony Properties two years ago when it was largely empty after most recently holding a large Uniqlo store that closed back in 2021.
Designed by Gensler, the ground floor will have a Chase banking branch on the first floor. The second floor will be home to a branded J.P. Morgan Financial Center, which will provide financial planning and other services for clients with $1 million to $5 million in investable assets. It will be staffed with 12 financial advisers and 14 licensed bankers to help clients with investment advice, small business services, home lending strategies and other needs.
As part of the plan, JPMorgan Chase is closing its two current Chase branches on the Magnificent Mile. It will bring all the staff from those branches into the new location when it opens, currently set for Fall 2026.
