Permit issued for medical office building at 5333 S. Harlem

A full building permit has been issued for a medical office development at 5333 S. Harlem in Garfield Ridge. Planned by Women’s Health Group and MAS Ventures, the project site is a vacant midblock site along S. Harlem Ave between W. 53rd St and W. 54th St.

Designed by ZPD+A, the new construction will take shape as a two-story medical office building served by a surface parking lot. The approximately 14,200 square foot project will be anchored by the Women’s Health Group in a portion of the building, with the remaining space available as vanilla box space. 

Designed as a state-of-the-art medical office, the project will feature efficient layouts, including the opportunity to occupy a full floor, modern building systems, and ample on-site parking. The property will also include a dedicated ambulance pick-up and drop-off area to support both providers and patients. Direct access off S. Harlem Ave ensures prominent visibility and ease of access to the building.

With Summit Development Group serving as the general contractor, construction is expected to begin imminently with delivery planned for Spring 2027.
