Chicago developer D.O.M. Properties Investment Inc. is preparing to replace a vacant Bronzeville lot with a four-story, 48-unit apartment building. The upcoming project received a permit to rise along the east side of South Cottage Grove Avenue between 41st and 42nd streets.
The mixed-use plan also includes two ground-floor retail spaces, a 27-car parking garage, and outdoor parking for an additional 23 cars, according to the permit. City documents list the project's designer as Andy Kacprzynski of Pro-Plan Architects.
The site is located several blocks from the four-story, 53-unit mixed-income housing development under construction at 508 E. Pershing Road and well as the upcoming 43rd Street pedestrian bridge.
