Chicago-based home health care services firm ASI Health has proposed the construction of a new health & workforce development center in Humboldt Park. Located  at 3446 W. North, the project site is a vacant parcel at the corner of W. North Ave and N. St Louis Ave. ASI Health is in the final stages of buying the land.

Designed by UrbanWorks, the $12 million proposal would stand five stories tall and include health care services, a training institute and a workforce center. The building would also house ASI Health’s administrative offices, essentially serving as the organization’s new headquarters, as well as a memory care center for patients suffering from diseases like Alzheimer’s.

ASI’s workforce development center would open the door for youth and others with employment barriers to access bilingual and multicultural training for high-demand jobs in health care, tech and the green sectors. The organization also plans to partner with local colleges and Latino-led health care providers on the programs. The facility will enable ASI Health to train about 15,000 home health professionals annually.

To allow for the scope of the project, the site would need to be rezoned from B3-1 to B3-3. Approvals will be needed from 26th Ward Ald. Jessie Fuentes, the Committee on Zoning, and the City Council which could come in early 2026 at the earliest.
