Condo hotel development planned at 2020 S. Archer

A condo hotel development is being planned at 2020 S. Archer in Chinatown. Planned by HMC Realty, the project site is a vacant lot at the northwest corner of S. Clark St and S. Archer Ave.

Set to rise seven stories, the building would include the lobby and a restaurant on the ground floor, 102 hotel rooms on the upper floors, and a rooftop bar and outdoor deck on the seventh floor. 

According to the development’s website, the condo hotel offers an affordable and modern accommodation option that is targeted towards young travelers, professionals, and investors. The condo hotel model allows buyers to purchase individual hotel rooms as condominium units and gives them the flexibility to opt into hotel management services or use the unit for a second home, vacation property, or corporate stay. 

A timeline for the project is currently unknown and no permits have been filed for construction.
