Demo permit issued to clear the way for 5340 N. Lincoln

A demolition permit has been issued to clear the way for a mixed-use development at 5340 N. Lincoln. Planned by 5338 N. Lincoln LLC, the project site is located just north of the intersection of N. Lincoln Ave and W. Summerdale Ave. The demo permit will allow for the clearing of the existing vacant commercial building on the site. 

Designed by Eduard Livanu, the new construction will be a four-story structure rising 63 feet clad in brick with punched window openings. The ground floor will have two commercial spaces facing the street with the back portion holding nine parking spaces accessed from the alley. The upper three floors will have a total of nine apartments, with three per floor. All of the units will have three bedrooms and private balconies.

With the demolition permit issued, contractor Tir Conaill Concrete Inc can demolish the existing building ahead of the new construction. A permit for the new building has been filed and is awaiting issuance.
