Full building permit issued for development at 2509 S. Green

A full building permit has been issued for a residential development at 2509 S. Green. Located along S. Green St up against the Stevenson Expressway, the project site is a vacant lot in close proximity to the Halsted Orange Line station. Chen’s Brothers of Illinois LLC is the developer behind the proposal.

Designed by Vari Architects, the residential development will take the form of a four-story building reaching 50 feet in height. With a total of 16 apartments, each floor will have four units with an overall mix of 3 one-beds and 13 two-beds. Eight parking spaces will be included in the development.

With the full building permit issued, general contractor Interstate Mechanical & Construction can begin the new construction and work through completion. A timeline for the project has not been announced.
