Frederick C. Robie HouseAndrew Bruah

Designed for businessman Frederick C. Robie, the Robie House is one of the best examples of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Prairie style homes, characterized by strong horizontal lines, low-pitched roofs with long overhangs, long bands of windows, and natural materials. As a departure from traditional homes of the time, the house is designed with the main entrance tucked away to create an entry sequence and journey that resolves in large, free-flowing common spaces on the interior.
