A full building permit has been issued for a residential development at 1534 E. 66th. Currently a vacant lot, the project site is situated near Jackson Park and sits on an entire block of empty lots between S. Blackstone Ave and S. Stony Island Ave.
Planned by Renaissance Properties-IL LLC, the project would build a four-story residential building on the property with eight residential units. With two units per floor, every apartment would have three bedrooms and a south-facing balcony. Seven car parking spaces and eight bike parking spaces will be accessible from the alley.
Designed by PMPC Architects, the building would reach 45 feet in height and be clad in a combination of white and gray fiber cement siding.
With the permit issued for the $1.2 million development, Renaissance Properties-IL LLC, who will also serve as the general contractor, can begin construction and work through completion.
