Permits issued for Grant Place Residences

A series of building permits have been issued for Grant Place Residences, a series of single-family homes along W. Grant Place in Lincoln Park. Formerly the site of the Lincoln Park Hospital, the development will occupy a portion of the demolished hospital’s property along W. Grant Place between N. Geneva Tr and N. Cleveland Ave.

With a shift in ownership earlier in 2024, Merrion Development Group is leading the development of the single-family homes, working on the final phase of the years-long redevelopment of the site. 360 Design Studio is the new architect in charge of the design of the new homes.

Building permits have been issued for the last five homes to complete the development with addresses of 531 W. Grant, 533 W. Grant, 545 W. Grant, 549 W. Grant, and 551 W. Grant. All of the homes will be four-story masonry homes with basements and roof decks for each residence. Underground parking garages will provide each home with two parking spaces each. 

With permits issued, general contractor Groove Design + Build can begin constructing the remaining five single family homes to complete the development. The residences are expected to have a Fall 2025 delivery.
