Renderings have emerged for 900 Clark St, a proposed mixed-use development at Church Street Plaza in Evanston. Planned by Continuum Development and Luxury Living, the proposed redevelopment will rise at the southeast corner of Maple Avenue and Clark Street at the northern end of the Church Street Plaza retail center.

With Antunovich Associates in charge of the design, the tower is proposed to stand 27 stories tall with 358 rental apartment units and 2,900 square feet of retail. The building will include apartments ranging in size from studios to multi-bedroom penthouse units. 72 of the apartments will be set aside as inclusionary affordable housing units. Residents will use existing parking spaces available at the adjacent Maple Street city garage.

The project’s ground floor will feature a corner retail space intended for a local coffee shop or similar business that will serve the community. The building will include a dedicated drop-off and delivery area for residents.

The project has been designed with sustainable features, including a high-performance building envelope, green roof, high-efficiency HVAC systems, LED lighting, water saving plumbing futures, Energy Star kitchen appliances, and will meet Green Globes - Three Globes certification.

The developers have submitted an initial zoning analysis application and will need Evanston city approval to move forward.
