A full building permit has been issued for a residential development at 1628 W. Division. Planned by RDM Companies, the project site is a unique property that is located between N. Milwaukee Ave and W. Division St but is surrounded by other buildings and does not have any street frontage.

Designed by Kennedy Mann, the 13-story building will stand 141 feet tall and feature 121 apartments with 131 car parking spaces and 93 bike parking spaces.

On the ground floor, the building has its lobby facing the service drive that connects the building and its first-phase neighboring building back to the street. The remainder of its ground floor is occupied by parking.

Above, the residential tower rises with 11 residential floors that have 11 units per floor. With a total of 121 units, the project’s unit mix includes 22 studios, 55 one-beds, 33 two-beds, and 11 three-bedroom units. Residents will have access to amenities on the 13th floor including an outdoor rooftop deck.

With the full building permit issued, general contractor Norcon can begin construction of the new development. A timeline for completion has not been announced.
