Land sale approved for development at 3652 W. 16th

The Community Development Commission has approved a land sale for two parcels at 3652 W. 16th. Poised for redevelopment, Cocina Compartida De Trabajadores Cooperativistas, LWCA, LLC will lead the project. The project site is located at the corner of W. 16th St and S. Lawndale Ave.

The proposal will build a one-story and two-story commercial addition to an existing one-story commercial building. With a project cost of $4.6 million, the city will sell the two parcels for $1 each, down from a combined appraised value of approximately $25,500. 

With approval from the CDC, the proposed land sale will head to City Hall to get a final approval from City Council before going into effect.
