Leasing is now underway at The Junction at OC Living at 1312 S. Talman. Developed by Habitat and Sinai Chicago, the project is the second of three residential phases within the $200 million mixed-use, mixed-income Ogden Commons community.
Designed by SCB, the new four-story building features 75 apartments with 76% of the residences reserved as affordable housing units, including 30 apartments that are designated Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) units. The remaining units will be market rate. The project’s unit mix includes studios, one-beds, two-beds, and three-bedroom apartments.
The Junction at OC Living follows last year’s successful lease-up of Ogden Commons’ first residential building, The Boulevard at OC Living, which was delivered in 2024 and fully leased in 2025. Located at 1325 S. Washtenaw, The Boulevard at OC Living comprises 92 apartments, 90% of which are affordable, including 37 CHA units, with the remaining residences offered at market rate.
Residents of The Junction at OC Living have access to a range of amenities, including a resident lounge, fitness center, on-site laundry facilities, management and social services offices, a package and mail room, bike storage and accessory parking. Outdoor features include landscaped green space with lighted walking paths, bike racks and a rubber-surfaced children’s tot lot with play structures.
The $38 million development was funded with a series of financing sources including TIF funds, CHA capital and rental subsidies, IHDA LIHTC funds, and long-term rental subsidies with additional financial support from Bank of America and LISC.
McHugh Construction served as the general contractor for the project, which is now leasing and resident move-ins have begun.
